I have been fat/plus size/big/large in charge for pretty much all of my life. I have been wanting to lose weight for some time now. Why haven’t I? Ehh I would fall off the wagon, get back on, and then fall off again. This year I really decided I was really going to address this and get healthy. And I will use this blog and all our lovely readers to keep myself accountable. I want to share my experiences and maybe just maybe help others to stay on track.

What I find the most difficult part of losing weight is developing and maintaining patience. Patience is vital when you are trying to lose weight. It doesn’t just fall off especially when the best way to lose weight is slow and steady. You really have trust the process and know that you won’t see results for sometime. That is the key issue I struggle with. I am supposed to eat all healthy (which isn’t that fun), workout all the time (which sometimes is fun), and do this for a couple of months before I see results. So when I have fallen off, it’s because I usually get tired of going without french fries and I don’t see the results. You are essentially trying to break a bad habit. So for folks who’s lived this way for years it takes time to adjust to a new lifestyle.

The key obviously is to keep going. Keep doing your best work even though you may not see a difference. You have to look for the NSV- Non Scale Victories. You can do more squats than last time. You can run for 15 minutes instead of 5. You can say no to your favorite sweets. Getting healthy isn’t easy but it’s  possible. I believe I can do it and I believe you can do it. So long until my next fatgirl fitness chronicle.  :p
